David Catling (Phd) released his book, An Elusive Harvest, yesterday at The Manor House in Elsenburg. A journalist contacted me to join her for the interview and launch on Mr Muller’s recommendation (thank you!). I liked David so much – he glowed with wisdom, oddly coupled with unheard-of humility. The book’s contents itself seems pretty boring – unless you’re a farmer curious about getting bigger yields or working for the Department of Agriculture – you won’t miss out if you don’t pick it up. At least, that’s the impression that I ( (a) not a farmer, and (b) not working at the department) got.
A generally interesting and enlightening evening nonetheless. I was so happy when we entered “The Blue Room” for the interview, because the colours and light worked so nicely with his skin tone.
