I joined Hendrik and Jenny a week or two ago to get some shots of the two of them. I planned on shooting in Stellenbosch, but the light was just too harsh, so we headed out to Strand.
I met Hendrik through a friend when I stayed in Eendrag (this particular friend is getting married this Saturday – yay!), and our friendship grew from that. From writing songs together, to debating economics, Hendrik has become one of my closest friends over the last four years. I had been offering to do a shoot of him and Jenny, his gorgeous girlfriend, for what seems to be a lifetime. It was only recently that we both had a gap in our schedules.
When I shot this, I knew that the photos were going to be clean and simple. That’s exactly what I went for in the edits, too.
I liked these:
Jis. Wat het met die 2de laaste foto gebeur dat die girl se gesig so op ‘n knop is. Die 17-55 wide?
Haha hou van jou takt, Stoffel
. Dis die Sigma 10-20 se lekker barrel distortion op die wye ent. Het hom net vir so 2 of 3 shots gebruik.
Great captures as always!
Bernard… I am just loving every post more and more… You are going to be HUGE very very soon! Glad I nabbed you for my wedding early! I’d love to organise that “engagement” shoot we discussed, although now it’s going to be more of a “pre-wedding” shoot… Think it might be nice to do, just to get used to being the centre of attention and having a camera pointing at us before our big day! Maybe we could do that some time in the beginning of next year? Drop me an e-mail just to let me know how you feel about that! Thanks – Michelle Schreuder
